VISA REQUIREMENTS
General Visa Policy
Greece is a member of the European Union and part of the Schengen Area. Citizens of all EU and Schengen member states do not require a visa to enter Greece. Nationals of many other countries are also permitted to travel to Greece for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa, for purposes of tourism, business, or cultural events such as the Athens Tango Meeting.
Travelers from countries outside the EU/Schengen Area should check whether they need a visa before planning their trip. In such cases, a short-stay Schengen visa (Type C) is required. This visa allows you to visit Greece and other Schengen countries for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
