HOW TO REACH PARNASSOS LITERARY SOCIETY – ATHENS CITY CENTER


The Athens Tango Meeting takes place at the historic Parnassos Literary Society, located in the very heart of Athens (8 Agiou Georgiou Karytsi Square). The venue is easily accessible from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) by taxi, metro, or bus.



TAXI (PRICES MAY VARY AT TIME OF BOOKING)


The quickest and most direct option.


Airport → City Center (Parnassos): approx. €40 (day) / €55 (night).

Duration: about 35–45 minutes, depending on traffic.

Taxis are available 24/7 at the airport arrivals level.




METRO ROUTE


From Athens Airport, take Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) toward Nikaia.

Travel time: approx. 40 minutes.

Get off at:

Syntagma Station (10 minutes’ walk to Parnassos), or

Panepistimio Station (5 minutes’ walk to Parnassos).

Please note: To reach Panepistimio, you must change at Monastiraki or Syntagma Station from Line 3 (Blue) to Line 2 (Red).


Trains run every 30 minutes from the airport (from 06:30 to 23:30). Ticket cost: €9.



AIRPORT EXPRESS BUS


Take bus X95 Airport → Syntagma Square.

Runs 24/7, every 15–20 minutes.

Duration: approx. 60 minutes (depending on traffic).

Cost: €5.50.

From Syntagma Square, it’s a 10-minute walk to the venue.




PUBLIC BUSES & TROLLEYS (City Center)


Many bus and trolley lines stop near Panepistimio or Omonia, both within a short walking distance of Parnassos. For routes and real-time schedules, visit https://www.oasa.gr.



CAR RENTAL


If you prefer flexibility during your stay, you may also rent a car at the airport. However, driving into the city center is not generally recommended, as traffic is heavy and parking is limited.
